VIctory Hill Farm started a new pony school program in Spring of 2006. The program focuses on providing smaller and/or younger riders an opportunity to participate in a program that is based on the classical system of riding.
It stresses learning the correct basics of the training scale for dressage, and also includes a well-rounded approach that includes learning to be proficient in riding safely and confidently across country, and jumping both inside and outside the arena. Proper care of both the horse and his equipment is stressed, as well as the handling and training of the horse or pony on the ground.
Our instructors utilize many of the same texts as the United States Pony Clubs, British Horse Society, and United States Dressage Federation.The "ponies" being used have been selected for their ability to provide a good feel for the correct way of going.
